About Sandy Beach Club

Sandy Beach Club is a family-owned, family-operated, private beach and boating club located on Middlebury's beautiful Lake Quassapaug.

Sandy Beach Club offers a variety of activities including swimming, boating, fishing, picnicking and sunbathing. We have 400 feet of waterfront with a sandy bottom and a gradual slope. And rest assured there is always an American Red Cross certified lifeguard on the premises!

Our picnic area offers shaded picnic tables with a beautiful view of the water where you can grill your own food and share it with friends and family.

Not hungry? How about sunbathing on our sandy beach or taking a swim in our clean, spring-fed lake? Swim out to the deep-water swim raft and relax in the sun for a while.

Don't like the sun? Grab a book and a beach chair and find a quiet spot under a shaded tree.

Want some action? How about shooting hoops on the basketball court or fishing with the kids from the boat docks?

Want some privacy? Take a boat ride! Club members can store their rowboat, sailboat, windsurfer, or canoe on a boat rack or boat dock. Have a bigger boat? Club members can tie their boat up to a waterslip on our 80-foot boat dock. Don't have a boat? We have it covered! Rent a rowboat to check out the lake. If rowing a boat is not your idea of relaxing, feel free to bring a trolling motor (or a friend who will row for you)!

Not interested in the beach club, but want to fish for a trophy bass or trout? We created a membership package just for you! Our boating-only membership package caters to boat owners who do not wish to use beach club facilities. Boating-only members may enjoy an extended season (spring through fall) as well as daily launching privileges.

Want the best of both worlds (beach club and extended season boating privileges)? Combination packages are also available. Please contact us for details.
